Water Sports in Puerto Banús and Marbella — Jet Ski, Seabob, Wakeboard and More

The Costa del Sol offers some of the best conditions for water sports in Europe — calm seas, warm water and sunshine for most of the year. The best way to experience them? A private yacht charter from Puerto Banús, where every water toy on board is included in the charter price and the open sea is your playground.

Here is every water sport across our fleet, which yachts carry which toys, where to find the calmest water and how to plan the perfect day of water sports in Marbella.

Water sports Puerto Banús Marbella

Jet Ski

The undisputed star of every charter: speed, spray and total freedom as you carve turns across open water and follow the coastline past golden beaches. Never ridden one? The machines are stable and intuitive, and your captain gives every rider a full briefing first.

Every yacht in our fleet carries a jet ski, so a jet ski in Puerto Banús is guaranteed whichever boat you choose. The Antago 90 "Venus" carries two, so guests can ride side by side. You will also find one aboard the Mangusta 80 "HH", Mangusta 80 "Nina", Cobrey 50 Fly "Swederm", Prestige 50 "La Brisa" and Sunseeker Predator 55 "Vibe".

Best for: adrenaline seekers and groups of all ages — life vests are provided, and the crew keeps the riding area in sight at all times.

Seabob

The seabob is an underwater scooter that pulls you across the surface or a few metres below it at up to 20 km/h — you steer with your body, leaning to dive down and arcing back up in a trail of bubbles. Silent and intuitive, it is easily the most addictive water toy on board: most guests refuse to hand it over after their first go.

Looking for a seabob in Marbella? The Antago 90 "Venus" carries one, and the Mangusta 80 "HH" carries two — perfect for underwater races.

Best for: snorkellers, confident swimmers and anyone who wants to try something genuinely different.

Electric Surfboard

Surfing without waves. The electric surfboard is a motorised board controlled with a handheld remote — start on your knees, find your balance, then stand up and glide across flat water at whatever speed suits you. Beginners enjoy slow, stable cruising; experienced riders carve turns like on a snowboard.

The electric surfboard is exclusive to the Mangusta 80 "Nina", one of the best-equipped yachts in our fleet for water toys.

Best for: adventurous guests who like a challenge with a fast reward.

Wakeboard

Towed behind the tender, wakeboarding blends surfing and snowboarding into one of the most satisfying rides on the water. Getting up takes a few attempts — then everything clicks, and you are slicing across the wake with the coastline as your backdrop. The crew adjusts the towing speed to your level.

Wakeboarding is available on the Antago 90 "Venus" and the Mangusta 80 "Nina".

Best for: sporty groups, teenagers and young adults with a competitive streak.

Inflatable Water Slide and Pool

Pure, uncomplicated fun. On the Antago 90 "Venus", a large inflatable water slide is set up on full-day charters — climb up, slide down and splash straight into the Mediterranean, again and again. The Mangusta 80 "Nina" takes a different approach with an inflatable sea pool on 8-hour charters: a protected saltwater pool beside the swim platform, ideal for small children or lazy floating.

Both are available on 8-hour charters only — one more reason a full day on the water is worth it.

Paddle Surf

Not everything needs an engine. Stand-up paddleboarding on calm morning water is one of the most peaceful experiences the Mediterranean offers — a slow glide over clear water that quietly works your balance and core. It suits every age and fitness level, and falling in is half the fun.

Paddle boards are carried on every yacht in the fleet, from the Antago 90 "Venus" to the Cobrey 50 Fly "Swederm".

Best for: absolutely everyone, from kids to grandparents.

Donut

The donut is a big inflatable ring towed behind the tender, and it obeys one simple law: the louder the laughter, the tighter the turns. Chaotic, hilarious, unforgettable. The crew adapts the pace — gentle loops for younger children, wilder rides for anyone who asks.

A donut is included on every yacht in our fleet, and the Mangusta 80 "Nina" also carries a crazy sofa — a multi-seat towable that is even harder to stay on.

Snorkelling

Between the high-speed toys, put on a mask and slow down. Snorkel equipment is provided on the Antago 90 "Venus", Mangusta 80 "HH", Cobrey 50 Fly "Swederm", Prestige 50 "La Brisa" and Sunseeker Predator 55 "Vibe". The water along the rockier stretches of coast is clear and calm — ideal for spotting fish while you cool off at anchor.

The Best Spots for Calm Water

Where you anchor makes a real difference. Your captain reads the wind and sea on the day, but two directions consistently deliver:

  • East toward Cabopino — the bays and long sandy stretches east of Marbella tend to offer sheltered, flat water, ideal for the seabob, paddle surf and first-time wakeboarders.
  • West toward Estepona — quiet coves along this stretch of coast offer clear water and privacy, perfect for snorkelling and a long swim stop.
  • Best Time of Day

The sea is typically at its calmest in the morning, before the afternoon breeze picks up. If water sports are your priority, book a morning charter or start your full day early — glassy water makes everything easier, safer and more fun, especially the electric surfboard, paddle surf and seabob. 4 Hours or 8 Hours?

  • 4-hour charter — enough for two or three activities done properly: cruise to a calm anchorage, rotate jet ski and donut sessions, then swim and lunch on board.
  • 8-hour charter — the complete water sports experience. Time for every toy on board — including the water slide or sea pool — plus two anchorages, a long lunch and a slow cruise home. If everyone should try everything, choose the full day.
  • FAQ

Do I need a licence for the jet ski?

No — as a charter guest you don't need to bring any licence or paperwork. The jet ski is used under the captain's supervision, with a safety briefing for every rider. Wear the life vest provided, stay within the area the crew indicates, and enjoy.

Are water sports included in the price?

Yes. Every water toy on board is included in the charter price — no extra charges for the jet ski, seabob, wakeboard, paddle boards or anything else. All water toys are weather-permitting, and the slide and pool are set up on 8-hour charters only.

    Is it suitable for kids?

Absolutely. The donut, paddle surf, inflatable pool and snorkelling are family favourites, and the crew adapts speed and supervision to the age of the group. Children wear life vests and are always watched by crew and parents. For more ideas, read our family yacht charter guide.
